Apply to University Prep CLOSED

University Prep Value High School is open to all students eligible to attend, regardless of abilities, disabilities, or where they live. If the number of students applying to University Prep Value High School exceeds the number of enrollment slots available, California Charter laws state that a public lottery must be held where students are placed on an enrollment waiting list to determine which students will have the opportunity to attend.

Applications for University Prep Value High School are accepted beginning each July for the following school year. A lottery date is set for the second Friday in January each year at 8:00 AM in the Community Room. Spots are not guaranteed, and you do not have to be present for the drawing to be accepted to the school.

Siblings of students currently enrolled in University Prep Value High School and students related to University Prep Value High School staff have priority on the waitlist and will be offered a space before other applicants during the lottery.  However, siblings of students currently enrolled who apply after the lottery is held will be placed at the end of the waiting list after non-siblings.

Before attending University Prep Value High School for the first time, a student must be admitted to the school. The admission process includes a parent induction program and a student orientation. A parent's decision to attend in no way impacts the student's admission or enrollment.

For more detailed admission policies, please refer to the University Prep Value High School Charter.
